Warehousing and Inventory

Many thousands of items are needed to complete a construction project - from prefabricated equipment to the smallest nuts and bolts. Warehousing and inventory specialists make sure items and tools are kept in order, so they’re ready to be used when needed. Warehouse and tool room specialists receive, document, organize, store, track and distribute these materials.

Responsibilities include receiving and conducting inventory of materials entering a job site, storing items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms and laydown areas, completing checks and balances of packing slips and verifying the accuracy of information and unpacking distributed equipment and materials and storing them in appropriate locations.
